Cause

Section titled “Cause”

This is placeholder text generated by the GitHub Issue template when a user pastes a screenshot that fails to upload due to network or permission issues. It is not an error from cc-switch or applications such as Claude Code / Codex. Because the screenshot failed to upload, maintainers and other users cannot see the actual interface state or error message, making the issue difficult to diagnose. In multiple issues, users only pasted screenshots in the "reproduction steps" or "additional information" sections. After the upload failed, only this placeholder remained, leaving the entire issue without substantive content to troubleshoot.

Fix

Section titled “Fix”

  1. Check the GitHub Issue page for any failed image upload placeholders. If present, edit the Issue again.

  2. Re-drag the local screenshot into the Issue editor, or use GitHub's image upload feature to upload it again.

  3. If the image repeatedly fails to upload, use text to describe in detail the interface state you see, the error message, and the steps you took, instead of using a screenshot.

This indicates the image failed to upload to the GitHub server when the Issue was submitted. Please edit your Issue again, re-drag the image in, or add a text explanation.
The maintainer asked me to paste the error from Claude Code, but I can only send a screenshot. What should I do?
If the screenshot cannot be uploaded, directly copy the error text from the terminal and paste it into the Issue reply. Plain text error messages are easier to troubleshoot than screenshots.
